Virginia delegation rejects Twin Cities guide due to gay tourist content

”[We] need to cancel the order for 150 of the “Secrets of the City” guidebooks. Thanks for sending a copy to me so expediently, Tom. Upon looking at it, though, having a section dedicated solely to GLBT will be a BIG problem for many of our folks. We simply can’t hand them out.”

Cancellation e-mail from Melissa Busse, political director for Virginia’s Republican Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling, who cancelled an order for 150 Minneapolis/St Paul tour guides from The Rake magazine because it included a 6-page on gay and lesbian attactions. (KSTP)
