Gay couple attacked at White Castle in New York

“I blotted him, brought him back to the White Castle…. I had blood all over me. My partner had blood all over him…. How many people is it going to take to get assaulted or possibly killed before something is done?”

Luis Vieira describing a physical attack that occurred this week at a White Castle restaurant in Staten Island, NY. He says he and his partner, Richard Vieira, were targeted by some members of a group of black youths, male and female — estimated to be 40 in all. They asked ”What the [expletive] are you looking at?” Then provoked Luis by touching the back of his head. The couple went outside, and Richard was punched in the head. The couple thinks they were attacked specifically because of their clothing they carried which looked gay. (SILive)
