NY Police officer shoots her lesbian lover during fight over text message

”The complainant hit the defendant with a handheld laundry iron about the head several times. The defendant pulled out her service revolver, which was loaded, and she shot twice.”

David Smith, District Attorney for NY, telling the New York Post about a violent altercation between Ekeythia Dunston and Erica Legall, a lesbian couple that allegedly got in an argument about a text message.  Legall hit Dunston with with an iron and Dunston, a NYPD officer, pulled out her gun and shot Legall in the shoulder and thigh. The couple’s two children and another woman were in the residence at the time. (NY Post)

“It was a domestic dispute that escalated and she had to defend herself. I think it is safe to say this relationship is over.”
