Blondie

Several years after a lackluster solo release, pop icon Debbie Harry returns to the area in a sure-to-be high-energy performance with her original band, the celebrated New York new-wave punk group and one of the first to incorporate rap (“Rapture”). Blondie, creator of hits including “Heart of Glass,” “One Way Or Another” and “Call Me,” was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at 8:30 p.m. The State Theatre, 220 N. Washington St., Falls Church. Tickets are $57. Call 703-237-0300 or visit thestatetheatre.com.
