Electric Zoo: New York’s Electronic Music Festival

Just like last year’s inaugural edition of the Electric Zoo electronic music festival, a virtual who’s who of DJs, including many with gay appeal, will turn New York’s Randall’s Island into something akin to a two-day rave over this Labor Day Weekend. Spread out over multiple stages, Saturday brings DJ sets from, among others, the Chemical Brothers, Axwell, Kaskade, Benny Bennasi, Boris and ATB, while Sunday brings Moby, Armin van Buuren, John Digweed, Fedde Le Grand, Laidback Luke, D Ramirez, Chris Lake, Above and Beyond — and Victor Calderone. And each night brings official after-parties at nightclub Pacha. Now that’s what you call a party. Saturday, Sept. 4, and Sunday, Sept. 5, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Randall’s Island Park, between Manhattan and Queens. Tickets are $86 for single-day ticket, or $142 for Double-Pak.
