Mother confronts Minnesota school system over her gay son’s suicide

”These kids, they just hate themselves. They literally feel like they want to die. So many kids are telling me this…. It’s not easy. I just miss him so much and I worry that there’s going to be more kids.”

Tammy Aaberg, mother of Justin Aaberg who committed suicide in July. She spoke with WCCO about a culture of harassment insided the school system. It is reported that there have been several suicides this past year, three of which are suspected to have been gay students. Tammy Aaberg is asking the Anoka, Minnesota school system to adopt senstivity training for teachers. (WCCO)
