Remembering Elizabeth Edwards: Strong supporter of gay marriage, opponent of anti-gay hatred [video]

”I don’t know why somebody else’s marriage has anything to do with me. I’m completely comfortable with gay marriage.”

Elizabeth Edwards in 2007 while working to support her husband, John Edwards, in his 2008 Presidential bid. She died yesterday at the age of 61 after battling with cancer twice since 2004. Her outspoken support of gay marriage ionship equality for same-sex couples was notable because it was somewhat at odds with her husband’s support for civil unions only. (SFGate.com)
