Now in its seventh year, the Spooky Movie International Horror Film Festival nearly doubles to nine days of horror screenings, and also includes the first-ever Local Filmmakers Summit moderated by Eduardo Sanchez (The Blair Witch Project). Highlights include what’s said to be a hysterical Canadian zombie comedy A Little Bit Zombie, and the world premieres of two locally produced flicks, A Sweet and Vicious Beauty and Ninjas Vs. Monsters (pictured). Festival runs to Oct. 18. AFI Silver Theatre, 8633 Colesville Road, Silver Spring. Tickets are $11.50 for regular screenings, or an All Fest Pass is $100.
