Las Vegas starts advertising same-sex weddings

“Now more open, 24/7.”

–The simple words of a tweet by the official Las Vegas Twitter account, @Vegas. Sin City has started an advertising push to convince same-sex couples to marry in one of Vegas’ many chapels and reception rooms, even taking out a full-page ad in USA Today, which stated “Now you can say ‘I Do’ to one more thing here.” Same-sex marriage was legalized in Nevada last week after the Supreme Court declined to hear appeals on same-sex marriage cases, allowing a ruling by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal, which upheld a lower court’s decision to strike down Nevada’s same-sex marriage ban, to stand.

The USA Today advert is included below, along with the original tweet by the Vegas Twitter account.
