Christian activist Linda Harvey says homosexuality is God’s punishment for abortion

Harvey, who has a history of anti-gay statements, also said gay relationships are "dead-end, degrading passions"

“This complete sexual and human identity meltdown could be an aspect of God’s judgment on us for aborting millions of our children.”

Linda Harvey, the founder of Mission America, speaking at the Bringing America Back to Life Convention about homosexuality apparently being a punishment for allowing abortion.

“One has to consider, first of all, the horrifying possibility that this complete sexual and human identity meltdown could be an aspect of God’s judgment on us for aborting millions of our children.”

“It is very possible that as an instrument of God’s judgment,” she continued. “He is using the punishment to come on us through our children, the corruption of our children.”

According to Right Wing Watch, she went on to say that gay relationships were just “dead-end, degrading passions” and are riddled with disease.

“Death is the central driving force for the abortion movement — the death of a person,” she said. “Death and the absence of new life are also the connection among the LGBT movement. Without the rejection of heterosexual norms — husbands and wives who create babies — the LGBTQ movement has no reason to exist.”

This is not the first outlandish theory of Linda Harvey to be broadcast as religious truth. In August, she warned parents not to allow their children to attend same-sex summer camps, because homosexuals will take advantage of them. She also previously said that the LGBTQ community has “raped” the image of the “sweet” rainbow. And in November 2016, Harvey said that presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s anti-LGBTQ bullying plan would encourage sexual deviancy.
