Metro Weekly

Work for Metro Weekly

Metro Weekly, a 25-year-old, GLAAD Media Award-winning weekly magazine based in Washington, D.C.

Its core focus is LGBTQ, but its approach, particularly to arts and entertainment, is broader and more generalized. We are always looking to develop relationships with intelligent, talented writers, reporters, photographers and illustrators who will generate content for our website and weekly print edition.

We are particularly interested in writers with unique voices and perspectives, who are “plugged-in” to both niche and popular news and LGBTQ culture. Excellent organizational, reporting or analytical skills, ability to meet deadlines and accept quick-turnaround assignments are a plus. Experience with Google Docs and WordPress is recommended.

A limited number of editorial internships are available. These are typically unpaid positions generally for school credit but a small stipend may be available depending on level of experience.

If you are interested in a part-time or full-time sales position, or a part-time distribution job, you may also indicate that on this form.

Please be sure to upload your resume, if applicable, with your submission.
