Cameroonian LGBTI-rights activist, Eric Lembembe, found tortured and killed

Neela Ghoshal, of Human Rights Watch, responding to the murder of Eric Ohena Lembembe, whose tortured body was discovered in his Yaoundé home July 15. Lembembe, executive director of the Cameroonian Foundation for AIDS and among the nation’s most prominent activists on behalf of the LGBTI community, was reportedly burned with an iron and suffered broken bones before his death.
