Mickey, Donald, Goofy and the whole Disney gang will be waiting for you at Gay Days Orlando 2012, but you might not be so lucking with a room.
This year’s Gay Days, May 29 to June 4, is expected to attract 150,000 participants. And rooms at the host hotel, the recently remodeled Doubletree by Hilton Orlando At SeaWorld (formerly the Doubletree Resort Orlando – International Drive), are already selling out.
Guests at the Doubletree, which is reserved entirely for Gay Day participants and includes a Women’s Wing and a Bear Wing, receive admission to all the on-site Gay Days pool parties (individually priced from $10 to $90 for non-guests) and transportation from the hotel to Disney and other attractions. In addition, the Doubletree will be the location for the 14th Annual Gay Days Orlando Expo, which host more than 100 travel, entertainment and business vendors.
The Doubletree is a member of the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association and is a gay-friendly TAG Approved property.
Visit Orlando, the city’s official tourism organization, offers a free online GLBT Guide to Orlando.
