Kelly Clarkson doesn’t care if her daughter is gay

“I mean, here’s what I hope for: I just hope she finds love…. As long as she’s happy, I don’t care either way, and neither does my husband.”

Clarkson

— Singer and former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, in an interview with Pride Source, when asked how she would feel if her youngest daughter, River Rose, turned out to be a lesbian.

Clarkson went into detail about her experiences with the LGBT community, saying that she and husband Brandon Blackstock wouldn’t care if any of their three children were gay. One of the few artists known for not shying away from giving her opinion, Clarkson also said, “I think it’s silly that we’re still talking about gay rights” in 2015. “Love is love in whatever relationship it may be in.”
