Jiffy Lube Live has a summer's worth of great shows worth the drive to the far outer-reaches of Northern Virginia.

Two years after releasing their first album of original material in 14 years, the trio of Natalie Maines and sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer are finally touring the stunning, deeply moving Gaslighter, produced by Jack Antonoff of fun./Bleachers fame.

And this weekend, The Chicks, the best-selling female band and best-selling country group in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan, are sure to draw fans from all around converging on Jiffy Lube Live for a summertime Saturday night under the stars to remember. (7/9)

Chances are, you’ll be enticed to get your car serviced before another upcoming concert or two this season worthy of the drive out to the large amphitheater in the far reaches of suburban Virginia. Other highlights during the 2022 season include next week’s hump night eve Backstreet Boys concert, part of their DNA World Tour (7/12); next weekend’s Never Ending Summer Tour stop with Ryan Tedder and OneRepublic, the six-piece pop-rock band from Colorado, touring in support of last year’s Human (7/16); back-to-back shows from country superstars Jason Aldean (7/17) and former American Idol judge Luke Bryan (7/21); a visit from Latin-pop superstar and hype man Pitbull, dubbed Mr. Worldwide, on the I Feel Good Tour with Aussie rapper Iggy Azalea as special guest, promoted with the promise that Pitbull will perform new music from his forthcoming English album (7/29); a stop on The Speed of Now World Tour featuring country superstar Keith Urban (7/30); a chance to twist away again in Margaritaville when Jimmy Buffett drops by for a toast (8/6); the pop-rockers from Las Vegas Imagine Dragons, led by Dan Reynolds, the LGBTQ ally who left the Mormon Church in large part because of their anti-gay policies (8/14); the Atlanta-based eight-piece Zac Brown Band, dropping by for a showcase of what is billed as their “old-school country roots and southern-rock style,” as part of the Out in the Middle Tour (8/27); and finally a double-header of a season-ending show featuring New York-bred rap icons the Wu-Tang Clan, a nine-member posse, and Nas (9/16).
