PEN Dinner

Annual Dinner for local GLBT Chamber of Commerce

The Potomac Executive Network (PEN), D.C.’s GLBT chamber of commerce, which works to promote the success of gay-oriented businesses and their allies in the metropolitan area, will recognize four honorees at its upcoming Annual Awards Dinner, Thursday, March 27, at the Ritz Carlton, 1150 22nd St. NW.

This year’s honorees, voted upon by PEN’s board of directors, include business leaders of the year Mary Snider of State Farm Insurance, and Timothy Price with Price Medical. Jeffrey Fishman, who has been involved with PEN as the group’s Web master and as a volunteer, will be honored as the ”volunteer of the year.” This year’s ”community ally” award will be presented to Hillwood Museum & Gardens. Honorees will receive a plaque and one-year membership to PEN, says the organization’s president, Joe Kapp.

A silent auction held during the event will benefit the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (SMYAL). For more information visit www.pendc.org. Tickets are $140.
