— Ugandan Minister for Ethics Simon Lokodo, in an interview with GQ Magazine. Lokodo made the comments with regards President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron, given both leaders’ support for gay rights. “I am very sympathetic with Cameron and Obama. They are obviously not responsible. They are both heterosexuals and have children,” Lokodo said. “They must not love their children, otherwise why would they let their children grow up in such a society? They are not responsible parents. They can not love their children enough.”
Lokodo refuses to accept that homosexuality is a natural occurrence. “Homosexuality is not African,” he stated. “There was never any word for homosexuality here in this country before now. This is foreign behavior.” He has previously blamed white people for homosexuality, telling allAfrica in May this year that homosexuality and pornography in Uganda came to be because of white people. “The whites brought this culture. People asked ‘if they can do this, why not me?”
