Madonna’s Superbowl half-time has fans and critics all a Twitter [video]

Madonna‘s Superbowl Half-Time Show was all the rage on Twitter and Facebook Sunday night.

Opening with her gay dance anthem “Vogue,” Madonna covered a number of her hits with help from CeeLo Green and LMFAO, and also performed her latest cheerleder-inspired single, “Give Me All Your Luvin‘,” with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A

While most people complimented her performance and physicality, others had a field day with the 53-year-old’s gold-and-black haute couture outfits (designed by Givenchy‘s Riccardo Tisci), a small slip during the song “Music,” her alleged plastic surgery, and the level of lip synch involved. Madonna’s nemesis, Piers Morgan, especially did not miss the opportunity to criticize her on the latter. Either way you felt about the show, as Michelangelo Signorile said, “Once again, she dwarfed the event!”

A few thoughts from some famous Tweeters:

Ok Madge, you win. I even liked the Margaret Hamilton exit.

Weird feeling about Madonna. The songs are great but she needed Nicki, MIA, Cee Lo and LMFAO to back her up? Didn’t happen with Springsteen.
