- The Magazine
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Centaur MC, Yusef Najafi, Will O’Bryan and Doug Rule profiled 14 leather community stalwarts — everyone from the sage JP Halford, then 78, to (former) D.C. Eagle owner Bill Cappello, from MAL mainstay Mary Elizabeth Boyd to Patrick Grady, who, to this day, serves as the maestro orchestrating the weekend and its complex array of moving parts. Todd Franson, now the magazine’s art director, married text and image to create an instantly eye-grabbing cover.
