Meningitis is no more a “gay” disease than the flu

Health editor James Hamblin on the fears among some in the gay community about the diseases, which most recently killed a Los Angeles lawyer. Hambling notes that meningitis, which is transmitted through the nose and mouth, is no more a “gay” disease than the flu.
