Facebook expands ‘Relationship Status’ for gay, lesbian unions & partnerships

“This has been a highly requested feature from users… We want to provide options for people to genuinely and authentically reflect their relationships on Facebook.”

Huffington Post quoting Andrew Noyes of Facebook about the addition of two new choices for “Relationship Status.” The world’s largest social network now allows users to choose “In a civil union” or “In a domestic partnership.” (CNET)
