Washington’s gay neighborhood changed minds of MTV ”Real World DC” cast [video]

”The diversity of the area, in all ways. And I had never known many gay people, so living in the area changed me and made me think about gay rights and how they are everyone’s rights. Now I wear an [HRC] equality bracelet… We ate at Buca de Beppo a lot, it was close to the house.”

Ty Ruff describing the Dupont Circle neighborhood where he filmed a season of MTV’s “Reel World” series. The cast returned to Washington, DC to promote the show. Ty is the only African-American cast member and he hails from nearby Baltimore, MD. The cast did interact with a number of gay-related businesses and organizations during their stay. And cast member, Mike Manning, apparently takes a closer look at his bisexual orientation during the course of the show. And Emily Schromm has also said she has bisexual leanings as well.
