Accused roommate, friend claim no broadcast of gay sex life in Tyler Clementi suicide case

”When the forensic evidence from all the seized computers is revealed, the truth will come out…. Nothing was transmitted beyond one computer and what was seen was only viewed for a matter of seconds.”

Dharun Ravi‘s attorney, Steven Altman, trying to correct the notion that his client and a friend, Molly Wei, watched his roommate, Tyler Clementi, having gay sex twice, and also broadcast images over the internet. Media and police reports have been foggy on exactly what Ravi and Wei might have done, but it’s apparent that their perceived actions likely drove Clementi to suicide. He jumped off the George Washington Bridge soon after. In this report, Wei’s attorney also says no images of sexual content were seen or broadcast by the 18-year-old Rutgers University students. ”They were given the option of withdrawing and they can reapply…. Realistically, they couldn’t go back no matter what. He definitely plans to go somewhere else.”
